Xenomorph Fawn

This piece was created during my time at Spring Pentaculum, an artist residency and retreat organized by Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. It represents a continuation of my exploration into Appalachian "critters" and folklore. This work holds particular significance within my portfolio as it was conceived just over six months after Hurricane Helene impacted Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. I extend my gratitude to Arrowmont for providing the time and space essential for me to reconnect with my personal art practice, especially in the context of our region's recovery from disaster.
